Abstract
Law, in its true sense, is the manifestation of the public will and the defender of the rights and freedoms of citizens against the arbitrary actions of the government and officials. The judicial system is the reference for claims of citizens and the government against each other, and in authoritarian governments it can become a tool for suppressing the rights and freedoms of citizens. The Independence of advocacy in the Judiciary is one of the guarantees of the rule of law, supervision by the specialized and professional civil society over the performance of judges and officials, and the good performance of the judicial system in realizing the rights and freedoms of citizens.

This research, using descriptive and analytical methods and library resources, studies the role of the Independence of advocacy in the Judiciary in the rule of law in the Iranian judicial system. The Independence of advocacy in the Judiciary prevents the instrumental use of the judicial system by powerful individuals and institutions, defends the rule of law against the rule of judges, and provides a fair litigation and trial environment for citizens.
